We were selected in August and our status changed a few weeks ago, but still no sign of ITA so I called Immigration yesterday.

The nice man on the phone explained that we are successful in some sections of the eoi checks, but others they are still checking!!!!! :?

He advised that it will probably be another 3 weeks till we hear anything!!

I am sure that there aren't any problems, but will have to Wait again!!! This is all just a waiting game. I am just glad that we hadn't done our medicals yet.

Do you know exactly what they check? Do they check every single item on the EOI, like birth certs., driving licences, tax numbers? I presume the first thing they will do with us is call Dave's employers to check that he really has a job with them.

Oooh, glad I'm not going to be the principal applicant if they check with your employer... I haven't told mine I'm going and would probably get sacked if they found out! (Have a dodgy section in my contract to stop me working for a competitor for so many years although I suppose they don't have to know who I've applied for jobs with - just don't want them to start questionning me!) :eek

Hmmm I wonder if that explains the delay in receiving our ITA too - we were selected 4th August with Decision Successful about mid September! I've been pretty chilled out about it up to now but our medicals run out at the end of November so I'm getting a bit twitchy... :?

I don't know what checks they do? I didn't think they would check everything because they do more checks when we send back the next set of paperwork don't they?

Anyone out there that can help with more details we would all appreciate it!
