Just wondered if anyone would be able to help us make a decision on where we should live.... My boyfriend has just been offered a job working for Rodney District Council (office is based in Orewa), which he has accepted.
We have been warned about the traffic into Auckland CBD from the North Shore, so I have been completely put off from trying to get a job in Auckland. However I am unshore as to how much work there will be on the North Shore. I am currently working in travel in a managment position for a tour operator, however I don't really mind what I go into....as long as it's mildy interesting! Although I would prefer to work for a multi national or at least a large organisation.
Does anyone know if a) there are any travel companies (tourist boards, airlines, tour operators etc..) based on the North Shore or b) what large companies are located on the North Shore?
Also what areas are nice to live in up there? We have heard that Albany is nice, but it looks a bit expensive... any views?
We are looking to go out to NZ in April next year, subject to us getting the visas in time..
