Hi everyone
Been following this forum for quite a while now reading peoples experiences, good and bad. Thought it was time to stop lurking and start participating. My situation is i live in holland with my dutch husband and one 13year old daughter, our house is sold and we will be leaving for auckland 20th oct, we have booked a holiday appartment (not cheap but hey reckon we will deserve a break after all this commotion) in orewa its about 25mins from the center of auckland.
Our eoi was selected 15th sept 100 points no job offer, :hopeso
hope we hear something soon. Anyway nerves are shattering as i speak so many things to do :? movers arrive next thursday, will be leaving our house friday and staying with friends till we leave on wednesday. Once in nz we will be looking for work, hubby is busy with a few contacts but mostly the reaction has been you need to be in nz to be seriously considered. Anyway thats enough for now better get some more packing done :laugh Moira

Hi
At the moment I am living in Amsterdam with my Dutch fiance (I'm Kiwi).
We fly out to Auckland on November 10 :nice1
If you don't mind me asking what shipping company are you using for your furniture (if you are shipping it to NZ that is :laugh )
Thanks in advance

Hi Lily
Sorry i took so long to reply, here goes we live in limburg so we are using a local company called Bernardt, they are part of the worldwide UTS unigroup. We had 4 different quotes crown, waaienburg etc. We were very impressed with crown, but we got our quote from them 10months ago and when we decided to go ahead they raised the price considerably and would'nt budge, said costs had risen(what a joke extra 2500euros in less than a year) i don't think so. Anyway Bernardt arrive early thursday, and come back friday, can't really recomend them till our furniture arrives in Auckland, if you want i can let you know how the packing goes, we move out of our house friday and will be staying with friends till we fly out wednesday. When are you thinking of leaving?
Hi Jes
I too am checking the NZIS website every day sometimes twice a day but nothing changed so far. :( Thanks for the good wishes, hope you get some good news soon.
Oh well better go and pack some more thursday is coming round very quick. :ice1 :laugh

Hoi Femke & Lily,
Wow 'D-day' is getting really close now, the only break you probably get now is quickly reading and posting a few messages on the forum.
Just want to wish you both and your families the very best of luck. We're still a bit behind you, selected in pool on 15Sept too, but not making any moving plans yet. My hubby goes to Christchurch in 2 days, for 10 days of interviews etc So you never know, things may move faster after that :hopeso
Anyway, just wanted to do a quick posting as I'm Dutch too, have been living in the UK for the past 15yrs.
Allerbeste wensen voor jullie allemaal :cheers :cheers

Hi Jes
We were selected from pool at same time :P
Getting impatient at staying "Selected" :(
Try to keep up the whole positive thinking - perhaps if we wish hard enough NZIS will grant our wishes!
