Hi All.
OMG...it all seems so REAL now. Just to put you in the picture, we submitted our E.O.I in October and didnt hear anything for what seemed an absolute age. Then it happened....we got our I.T.A today!! Cant believe it.
You are recognising that I am slightly excited by this......yes?
I've been gathering paperwork, police reports etc for the past month and now I will go ahead and book the medicals.

We are not looking to go to N.Z 'til the back end of 2006 (well, at least that the plan at the moment) so theres no rush. Plus, am I right in thinking that if we are fortunate enough to be granted our P.R. that we have up to 12 months to use it?

Just felt I had to share all that with you. Feeling calmer now I've got all that off my chest.

I am now going to open a little bottle.....just to help me get to sleep tonight.
Steve on the other hand, will be snoring by 10...well he is working (driving) tomorrow.

See you on 3rd Dec at the N.W.Meet......

Julie n Steve.

COOL!!!! :nice1

We got ours on Nov 1st and are halfway thru the medicals etc. 1- Check all the items on the tick sheet that came, we needed child custody declarations and allsorts of extra stuff , 2- dont bother with the CD rom- its the same as the book which is easier to flick thru. 3- Ring round as medical prices vary.

We have the book on the coffee table (instead of the usual holiday brochures) to keep us inspired.

Oh yeah- 4- and have another drink!!! :laugh

Happy ITA-ing

Thank you all so much for your good wishes. Its really comforting to know that there are other people out there who can relate to the stresses and the highs and lows of this immigration process.

I just wanted to say that I only found his forum about a month ago and as a 'newie' I really appreciate the time and effort that you more experienced 'forumites' put into it. Not only must you have gone through more than I can begin to imagine, but the beauty of it all is that you are willing to share your experiences in an attempt to help others over the many stumbling blocks that we will encounter along the way.

We all have our different reasons for making the move to New Zealand, but it seems to me that without the help, support and encouragement that you provide along the way, that goal would be much more difficult to achieve.

I hope one day that Seve and I will be able to return the favour.

Thanks again,

Julie.
