Has any one heard when this change is likely to take place. I've had an e-mail telling me about this but it has no time frame.

Also once they have pulled you from the pool does the point increase stop affecting you?

I ask this as I have a friend that wants to move mid 2007 but only makes 110 points. I think maybe she should apply now? :confused:

Once your EOI is selected from the pool, future changes in the points threshold do not matter to you.

Baring unusal personal circumstances, If she has the points, I'd apply now. Who knows what the future requirements may be, 18 months ago the pass mark was 190. Remeber you get a two year rrv with your PR, so she has plenty of time to make the move.

I'd apply now - if she has no job, the process will take longer anyway, and you have up to 18 months after getting PR to actually take it up anyway, so 2007 will be well within reach!
