Will they tell you whether the baby is a girl or a boy at your scan?
Or, like many UK hospitals, do they quote legal/financial/time constrainsts as a reason not to?

Yes they will tell you.
But.... it is never 100% certain just from a scan.

they actually seem qutie keen to tell you, so if you dont want to know make sure you tell the person doing the scan!
Of course they can only tell you if your baby is in the right position (ours spent the whole time hiding their bits) so we had to wait until birth!

Tia,
This seems to be different from hospital to another in the UK. My cousin and I were both expecting at the same time but at different Kent hospitals. Hers wouldn't tell, mine was only to please to tell you if they could see.

Debbie,
I know what you mean about different policies. With my first, the person doing the scan said "look away now, if you don't want to know what sex it is". So we knew it was a boy, as there was only one possible thing we could have spotted!
