Had a rep from PSS here yesterday who told me not to bother bringing the free standing wardrobes because all bedrooms had fitted cupboards.

Is this correct?

Should we bring them anyway, I understood it was only the master bedroom which had fitted robes.

Well Driver,

i wouldn't take anything they say for granted but lets say you find an old villa which may not have enough wardbrobe space. Or a rental with little wardrobes space.

I took all of mine because you just never know. we were advised by many people already over there bring what you can if you can afford it.

And that's what we did all 40ft of it.

When we were house hunting only one of the old character homes would have needed a wardrope. If you are looking to rent/buy a newer house (1950s +) I would not worry about it but if you are after character, you may need them.

I agree with the above - we have been in a rental for 8 months with built-in, so our wardrobes have been left unpacked in the garage - now we are moving into an old villa and it has no built in wardrobes, so we are glad we brought ours!

I agree, we have used one nice looking wardrobe as extra general storage and coat cupboard, the other is being used in a room with no wardrobe. Leave if grotty, bring if nice...

Thanks everyone, we're going to need a 40' container anyway and there will be room.
I doubt i'll have the time to sell them for a decent price before we go now anyhow. So if they fit in then they'll come with us.
We don't know what kind of place we'll buy as yet so they may come in handy.
