Thought I’d try posting a picture (still in dial up hell at the moment, but thought I’d try anyway)
If you can see it, this is the little rental we got in Napier that would take the dogs.
Fingers crossed that it works Bob

Wayhay it worked!!
We’ve been here a few weeks now (the weathers been up and down, so most of the pictures were taken in the sunshine)
I’m going for two pictures this time so the first one is of the square in Napier and the second one is of em,em just pick one. Burger king where we stopped for coffee, somewhere outside Hamilton I think.

Hi SteveD,
Got to get off the dial up now because wifey is waiting to ring her mum (to tell her about her first day at work).
Napier is lovely, really friendly, and I will post much more about it as soon as I get sorted.
Town centre is also lovely, lots of little specialist shops and cafes as well as the bid chain stores. Right on the coast (although marine parade isn’t safe to swim from) but lots of wonderful beaches within a short drive.
Countryside is amazing, but the most remarkable aspects are the friendly people and the simply astonishing food.
Got to get off the phone line but will be back on soon, Bob
(any info you want on Napier just ask, I’ll gladly take pics or post any local stuff I can get hold of)

Keep them pics a comin please. Napier is just my favourite place and I'm :D that you are there. It is where we hope to be in a couple of years.
Are you renting in the town itself?
Hope Mrs Bob had a good day at work. :nice1
Look forward to hearing/seeing more from Napier.

I loved Napier when we visited. It was a little on the pricey side for us as we don't want a mortgage. We will be living about 1/2 hour drive away and I look forward to spending time in those lovely little shops you described. :clap

Great piccies Bob..........keep em coming.
Glad to hear you and yours have settled in. Hope Mrs Bob is enjoying her job.
How were the dogs after their flight over??? Unsure as to whether or not to take ours as it concerns me that she will be caged for 24 hours so not get the chance to 'do her thing' if you get my meaning.
Anyway, mustn't change the thread or I'll be in big trouble :no
:cheers

Napier... Mmmmmmm.. That's where we celebrated our engagement! Such a fab little town, the art deco buildings, lovely waterfront, coffee shops, and of course all the vineyards surrounding it - particularly Mission, my favourite of all!
Really envy you Bob! Enjoy it!!

Yep I concur....nice pic's, and that BK was such a total opposite of the one in 'Grim'sby!!....you need twice as many napkins so you can wipe the seat/table before seating yourself!!

Hi,
Been really busy trying to sort out buying a house, so I haven’t been on the forum.
Here is a pic of the ocean when it gets cross, around Napier, (a few days ago) and a quick snap from the end of the front garden. Just looking up the street, the last one is of the local park at dusk on the day we collected the dogs and took them out for a run.
I think my favourite place so far has to be ocean beach, the dogs love playing in the sea there (almost as much as me) I will take the camera with me next time I go and post some pictures, its fantastic!

Ocean beach is beautiful isn't it, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I would love one of those little bach's just by the beach.
The drive there is fab as well, if my memory is right we drove past the Craggy Range/Ridge winery?
Look forward to seeing pics of Ocean beach when you have time. :nice1

Glad to see your settling in Bob. Some good pics you've posted. Burger King, on Te Rapa road. Nice to hear your dogs are having as much fun as you. Ours has settled to a degree, but get the feeling that she still ain't forgiven me for the hell i put her through.
