Just a quick thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules for the North West meet.

I think it went really well and it was not only great to share experiences but also to put faces and voices to names.

A big thanks for the flowers a really lovely thought, my favourites too Lillies. I buy them all the time.

Most of you I know are really up the wire with organising things so it was great that we got you to meet you before you leave.

Keep posting and see you all at the next meet for those who are here those who are not see you in NZ.

Jo :cheers

We had a really good time (even though the M6 nearly got the better of us).

Good to put faces to names and have actual 'real life' conversations and quite a buzz knowing that over the next few weeks/months we'll be planning an NZ meet for real.

Thanks to Jo B for arranging the meeting, it was so worthwhile. Lindajax .... you're absolutely barking mad (and in real life you look several years younger than your forum photo).

I'll try and get the photo's ready for showing over the next couple of days.

Nice meeting you all and I'll look forward to the next one.

Diny & family.

Hi all,
The meet was brilliant, seeing and meeting all you nice people with the same wishes and dreams as oursleves. Susan doesn't post on this forum but was very eager to meet you all and she really enjoyed the day. Jon didn't want to leave and now wants to swap his Florida holiday for a trip to NZ!
I wish you all success whatever your decisions maybe and whatever happens with your future. I'm sure we'll at some point meet again, some of us next week at the Expo.
I find it quite surprising (but refreshing) that we all come from different areas, backgrounds, age range, careers etc yet, we all share the same goals and pretty much the same reasons for leaving (lets not get political now!)
Thanks Jo B for the arrangements. :nice1

Hi all,
Really enjoyed yesterday, think we all could have talked and talked for hours more, unfortunately our little ones gave up early :(

Great to meet you all, and share our dreams face to face. Thanks again to Jo for organising the meet (and to Diny for letting me know about it) :nice1 :nice1

I'm sure we'll all continue to post on the forum. I'll let you all know how Andy gets on in ChCh. Made a list this morning of all the things still to do before he leaves on Thursday - means I won't be able to spend so much time on the forum.

Take care all, and don't stress too much :cheers

Diny,

I thought that about Linda too, I think she posted a picture of her mum on the forum really.

Spoke to my mum and dad today about my fears of homesickness. My Dad's response was, "You'd be blo**dy mad not to go, this country will be a muslim country in 30 years time" yadda yadda yadda. Not to get too political but it really made me feel better that they are 100% behind us.

Jo

When we spoke yesterday we both agreed that missing parents would be the big 'thing' for us. I'm glad you had a word with yours, it makes you feel so much better knowing that you're not going to be faced with any 'agro'.

I'm sure that afte they've had a 5 weeks holiday touring NZ with you in March they'll be even more for the idea.

By the way - don't forget to make Ashhurst one of your drop off points.

It was great, and I look forward to the next meeting. Its always nice to meet people with similar ideas/hopes and even I had no problem finding the place - so you've got to be happy.

A BIG thank you to all involved and I might see some of you next week at the Expo!

Cheers
