Well, here's the view from Okarito, about 40 kms (25 miles) south of Harihari. This is the center of NZ's most spectacular wilderness. There is a mediocre grocery store at Franz Josef (66 km south), but good services at Hokitika (76 km north).

Thanks for the photos - it's beautiful there! We're scheduled to move to NZ in the new year, and look forward to seeing this firsthand...
