What a weird few days! Out of the blue on Monday, we got 3 viewers, one after the other, all in a position to proceed. Two of them put offers in immediately, and we've had a day or so being involved in a mini bidding war, and we've agreed a sale today with the ones in the best position (company relocation from Scotland with no chain). We're hoping to complete mid February and be on our way to Christchurch at the end of Feb. At least we should catch the end of the summer.
Time to panic - haven't even bought any xmas pressies yet, let alone book shippers or find anywhere to stay when we get there.
All of you who are still waiting for a sale on their house and are getting depressed about it, this just shows how things can turn around for you overnight. Do not lose hope - you'll be on your way soon.
It hasn't sunk in yet - it's going to be a strange christmas!

Fab news for you!
We've been on the market since April with no joy. In the last two weeks we've also had 3 lots of viewers express varying levels of interest. We've got one couple coming back for a second viewing on Saturday. They have sold their house to a cash buyer and want to be able to move as soon as poss.
Please keep everything crossed for us and send us positive vibes as this could be just what we've been waiting for.
Will keep you posted.
Oh and by the way MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

If it wasn't for the kids I'd say stuff christmas and just concentrate on NZ now. Buy them pressies here, save on shipping. :laugh Maybe you could tell them Santa comes in Feb in Christchurch? ;)
It's been a long time a comin, but you are all on your way.
Alison, everything is so far crossed over it hurts. Good luck for the next viewing, let us know how it goes.

Wahey Kate!! So thrilled for you. Glad it's all moving at last. Funny how the property market seems to be picking up - new house for Xmas anyone? Well, we've had our sold sign up for nearly 4 months now - damn that 'subject to contract' small print!! *sigh* I'll send positive 'quick sale' vibes to you if you'll send positive 'get on with it' vibes to our buyer!! (Actually will send the positive vibes anyway but we certainly need someone to sort out our nightmare oops, i mean house sale).
Merry Xmas

Thanks for all the positive messages and vibes folks.
Would you believe it had a call from the Estate Agents yesterday...............
another couple want to come and view on Friday evening!!! I can't believe this. Thought things were supposed to go really quiet over the Christmas period.
Not that I'm complaining noooooooo - bring it on that's what I say - the more the merrier.
Just shows you see - positive vibes and finger crossing works wonders.!!!!
Will keep all posted ;o)

Kiwidollie - sounds really hopeful. I'll keep everything crossed for you and for Kiwidebs (and anyone else). I thought the same about this time being quiet too. I've just found out that our 3rd viewer from Monday is wanting to view again cos she's very interested, but we've had to say no (not sure if that's foolish actually, but we do have another offer waiting in the wings).
Thanks for all your kind comments. Put the xmas tree up last night and my next door neighbour came over with her kids and all the kids decorated it and I found myself suddenly feeling homesick - and I haven't even left yet! What will I feel like in February?? Anyway, off to start my xmas shopping.
