Wow ... we've had the best time in Napier. The scenery, Art Deco buildings, food, wine.

I can highly recommend anyone wanting a break away to visit Napier.

Palm City Motor Inn was great, we had what they call a town house at the back of the complex. It was very clean and tidy and the pool was just opposite along with the kid's play area. It was in a very quiet area and about a five minute driveaway from all the attractions.

We ate in the Tuscana restaurant opposite the Theatre. It is run by a British couple, the restaurant has a european feel and made us feel right at home. The food was to die for, we had the Chateaubriand between two. Have to say that it was one of the best meals we have ever had.

We also went for some wine tasting at one of the many wineries. We had then booked a lunch at the Mission Estate Winery. Well I think we all just sat in stunned silence when we drove around the corner. We have never seen such a beautiful colonial building, couldn't believe they allowed kids near it let alone in it ! ! We again had the most fantastic food and wine.

Could not have had a more perfect holiday. We're definitely going back again next year. :D

Isn't it lovely? I love art deco and the place just fascinates me. Its a bit unreal like the place in Wales, Portmerion.

Bob the engineer mentioned earlier about Ocean Beach, try and get there if you can, it's fab.

Not sure how to post photos on the internet, maybe someone can give me the lowdown, we've got an apple mac as well so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

using a mac computer makes no difference , all you need
is space on either your own server
or use so space on for example:
http://www.photobucket.com/

after that upload yr phots there and
just use text in yr forum message to show them
use the icon below the text size thingy in your ''reply to thread''
for example:

will show the picture

Napier is so beautiful.

mission Winery also does Weddings. So I have told my 10 year old girl that's where she'll be getting married (only kidding). We had lunch there. Outstandinh building with outstanding views.
