HI, was wondering if any teachers could help me. I am trying to apply for jobs from here, without much luck. Does anyone know of a teaching agency that i can join that will find overseas teachers jobs in NZ?

Have you tried Education Personnel (http://www.edperson.co.nz/)? They sometimes do talks in the UK - did one about a year ago that my hubby went to.

There's also Oasis Education (http://www.oasis-edu.co.nz/) or Select Education (http://www.selecteducation.com/), which deals with several countries including New Zealand. Don't know much about them.

Also Teach NZ (http://www.teachnz.govt.nz/), the government website, has useful info for overseas teachers.

Debbie, thanks so much. I really have been fretting!! Have signed up to all three agencies that you recommended, hopefully something positive will happen soon.

Nearly all supply teachers make their own arrangements with individual schools. If it's suppy work you want, phone schools up when you get here and tell them you're looking for work as a relieving teacher. :nice1
