Hi everybody - this is my first time here so please excuse me if I mess up :)

My family and I have receive PR and I have also received a senior position as an accountant/auditor. We hope to move to either Auckland or New Zealand - we are still in two minds as to where???

However, whilst I am sorted, my wife who is a language support assistant (English language) working in a local school. She is not a trained teacher but has 4 years experience in this field. She wants to carry on doing similar work in New Zealand but cannot find any information on how to go about doing this - I can anyone shed a light on this?

Any information would be gratefully welcomed.

Thanks.

kind regards

Hello Ishi

I know nothing about teaching assistants here but wanted to welcome you to the forum.:clap :clap

There are some people on here that I'm sure can answer your question and hopefully someone will be along soon. Whereabouts is your job offer located?

Are those threads any help, they give some addresses that might be of use?

Hi Smiler

Thanks for the info - it really is appreciated.

As for location of work - this is flexible for me. I can work either in Wellington or Auckland - perhaps somebody can shed a light as to which is the better place.

Kind regards

Ishi

It's really hard to say as it comes down to personal taste.
Personally I can't stand Auckland. But I'm sure there will be plenty up there who think the same about Welly.

There are always jobs available.
The only problem is......the pay is DIRE.

You will average approx $12 an hour max.
