I wrote a long thread about this and it disappeared, so here's another go but I can't write as much this time as i have to get to work. Sorry.

Do you still feel you need a burglar alarm?
I know that it isn't crime free but does everything have to be screwed down or locked up like it does in the UK or you won't see it again?
