Congratulations!
I also got an email where my NZIS officer told that we have been "approved in principle" and she asked us to send our passports to London and to pay Migrant Levy so that she can make final approval.
Does this mean that we get a PR or W2R permit? (As it really matters, I'm happy enought that we get some kind of permit :D :D)

We had a agent acting on our behalf and she said they e-mailed confirmation. It just said, that we had been successfully and had a Work to Residency visa issued. The formal letter is on it's way to confirm. It will probably be after the New Year now...
I thought, it would've been on the e-mail. I would be cheeky and e-mail or call, as it won't do any harm?
Good luck and I hope everything works our for you. :nice1
All the best

Hey! Well done you two :nice1 Some nice news before Xmas for you all.
Dazza and Wendy, now you can go and celebrate in the Mascrat Manor with one of those HUGE ice creams! :laugh (Although I believe Dazza is still in denial about the ownership of the ice cream?)
All the best folks. See you at the next meet - maybe :)
And greetings to our friend in Finland, again well done. Don't know how you spell it, but believe "Kipis" (sp?) means "Cheers" - well it sounded like that when getting very drunk with a neighbour who was from Finland a couple of years ago - sure you get what I mean anyway.

After reading the email and letter which was attachment from NZIS about 10 times and checking correct expressions from NZIS site I'm sure that we got PR.
Letter says that we got Residence Visas.
Work to Residence permit would be Working Visa if I understood info from NZIS site correctly.

We a going to stay in Auckland while I'm looking for a job.
At this point all NZ locations are acceptable, but I'm looking for a job in IT-sector so most likely we will end up to settle in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
Meeting other migrants would be great, so I keep that in mind if we come to Ch.

That's brilliant news - it's all coming together for you - we'll hopefully see you there in March (or before if we manage to make it to the next NW meet). I can't remember now - had you applied for PR? If so, did they give you a reason for WTR? Not that it really matters - you're going and that's the main thing!

Wendy and Dazza - CONGRATULATIONS!! Here's a dancing banana or two to celebrate:raebanana :raebanana . Wow, gonna be a good Xmas at your house!
Joopa - you have PR - that's what Mark's letter said when he got it. You've now got six months to get your passports and migrant levy into NZIS - from the date of the stamp being put in your passport you will have a year to get to NZ to validate your residency. So don't hurry with the passports etc until you're nearly ready to go. CONGRATULATIONS and a dancing banana for you too :raebanana .

Suppose that means I'll have to have a few celebratory drinks again to toast your success (sigh). And two successes, that'll mean drinking doubles!!!
