Hi,
we just got our son's medical exam done by a physician. She did sign at the end of the medical form but did not sign in the begining (below the medical history part and below the parent's signature). It is tough for me again to go to the physician as that physician is located 5 hrs from our place. I sent it to NZIS, London today. Has anyone had similar situation? Would the NZIS send it back to me? any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can only go off what happened to us - the doc signed everything but forgot to tick one box on the form. Unfortunately, the whole lot came back to us and I had to get the doc to tick the box and initial the amendment before resubmitting.

Have to say, from my experience, NZIS are real sticklers for detail. They rejected our applications because of the point above and the fact that the corner of the photo page on my passport was bent/frayed. Apparently it posed a risk.

I was also told that our visas would have been granted there and then but for that, and that they would be issued on the day if I took the new passport and the new med page to the High Commission. Travelled all the way to London to be told on the day that our applications would be considered over the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Getting a bit tired of it all at the moment.

However, on the plus side, NZIS are pretty human and will talk things through with you. That said, they told me they have to return the full application and cannot hold on to papers. If they do reject, I suggest you try to get the doc to print a new copy of the offending page off the NZIS site, sign it then post it on to you, to save you the hassle of travelling
