Hi There,

We live in Havelock, been here 12months now, so have seen quite a lot of Hastings, Napier area. Best area's? all depends what your looking for, for us high school was very important, we like more a village feel than a big city, we have everything we need, here in the village, supermarket, bars, restaurants, swimming pool, etc. Hastings is not one of my favourite places, and i personaly wouldn't want to live there. Though i do know people who live in Hastings, and are very happy to do so. One place i would deffinately advise you not to live is Flaxmere, the houses's are very cheap there, but there is a reason for this.
Napier is very nice, we have friends who live in Taradale, and for them its a perfect location. we go shopping in Napier, quite regularly, it has such a nice atmosphere, quite a mixture of shops from small boutiqes to larger stores, for all ages. Its like i said, all depends what your looking for,
We are in Havelock, and we love it.

thanks Moira, I had been recommended the two places you mentioned and told to avoid the other, nice 1, :cheers :nice1 i'll be in Napier on Saturday for 3 weeks so i'll concentrate on those areas, I have 2 kids so good schooling is a must for us :clap
