Hi all its been a while since I last posted so update time
Its 5 months now since we arrived and its still brilliant !!
I am on holiday now for the next few weeks some unpaid since I havent worked long enough to accrue holiday pay , but its no biggie even with reduced funds its still great, dont need too much now chrissy is out the way.
I may change jobs soon it means less wages from $22 ph-$18-19ph and a longer drive to work ( I now work less than five minutes drive from home the new jobs an hour away)
But its a dream job and I feel its better to regret doing something than regretting not doing it I will be working at NZ's top custom paintshop spraying race cars , hot - rods promotional vehicles and some film prop type stuff , even putting flames on all those "Hell" pizza delivery mopeds, its something that I can do and have done in the past I'm thinking of doing it as although the pay is $100 less aweek and the travel costs are more if I look on it as .. say a 3 year apprenticeship / refresher course I can earn more in the long run and iff it turns always go back to welding again.
That aside our experience of NZ is sooo good I was going back to England this june-july to visit family and friends but I'm having such a good time here I really will have changed much and after the big "Hello's" etc the family will want to get on with their routine and quite honestly I could put the money to better use here (buy a couple of kayaks etc),but we will see ,I think I have only rung my parents 2-3 times since we got here and exchanged a couple of emails with my brothers, who knows homesickness may set in and I will want to visit the UK (not home anymore)
Diny what has happened to you girl I know you ended up not quite where you planned to be but its still NZ aint it?
