Thanks to everyone here who kept their fingers crossed for us. We have sold the house at last.
Had to drop the price a bit but our buyers have sold up and can hopefully complete fairly quickly .... fingers still crossed coz its a flippin nightmare right down till the last minute and everything's completed.
Have just spent an hour trying to compose my letter of resignation - to be handed in tomorrow. We are hoping to be on a plane by the end of February so am now trying to decide who to get quotes from for Shipping. So far have contact Britannia who are sending someone on Thursday - anybody got any other recommendations?
So much to do, so little time ...............................

Hi and congratulations. I knew it wouldn't take you long. This is where you start panicking. We fly at the end of Feb too and there's still so much to do. We've had Whites round for a quote and we've got GB Liners coming tomorrow and Bishops Move on Friday. Do think we'll probably go with Whites though.
Good luck with it all. Where are you heading for?

Hi Kate
We're heading for Auckland initially. Hubby has a job in Takanini, so when we get there we'll have to scout around and suss out which part we'd like to settle in.
Have just left a message for GB Liners to contact me for a quote - I'm going to try another couple I think just to see how they compare.
There's so much to do isn't there - I feel like a rabbit trapped in the headlights - don't know which way to run next. Am so glad though, I was beginning to think it would never happen!
Good luck to you in your new life

Alison, That's great news. You'll soon be on your way. :raebanana Sounds like the feb flights are gonna be loaded up with forumites.
When I get the bunny feeling (headlights not boiler ;) ) I write a list and tick things off as I go. It seems more manageable then and I feel I have achieved something at the days end.
Good luck

The guy from GB Liners has just left and I was very impressed with him. I'll have to wait and see the quote, but he was very helpful - much more so than Whites!

Paul Bev & Kids we are heading to Auckland - Neil's job is in Takanini but that is the only fixed point of reference we have. We don't have any idea where we'll end up living, or where the kids will go to school - all part of the adventure. Thanks for the good wishes. Good luck to you wherever you decide to settle, like you say, we'll need all the luck we can get!
Kate - thanks for the info.
We've got someone coming from John Mason's this afternoon - hubby and I are still not quite in agreement on what we taking and what we leaving behind. It's all good fun eh?
