Hi everyone
my question is to the people who have used agents to get their emigrations papers and decided to stop using them half way?
1 did you get your money back?
2 what made you decide to bin them?
3 did you find the process of doing it yourself easy?
The reason Im asking is because I use four corners and the service Im getting from them is poor,ie they told me before christmas our EOI was in and we were safe, turns out they never put it in and now we dont have the points(115) to get in without job offer.Never return phone calls or e-mails either. We have a meeting with them on friday any advise would be helpful.(do we have a case for breach of contract on their behalf) :(

Your kidding!
Are you saying that now that the points ahve risen, you cannot put in your EOI in until you have a job?
I am sure there is some legal eagle on here who can direct your course of action.

May to stick my head out here- But unless you have complications in the process, can i suggested to spend you time doing it yourself. The info on here and other places will help you through, and it's money you can use on say, shipping ,or MAF or ITA fee,s ,medicals etc........

I think the first thing to do is to ask them to confirm, in writing, the reasons why they did not submit your EOI, with 100+ points, as soon as they possibly could.

As for being selected with 115 points, see this recent thread:

Matt.

Did you say Four Corners Emigration ? Is that the one on Ashfield Road, Cheadle, Cheshire? They have a website too dont they?

Mmmmm, cant say I've heard of 'em myself, but I do know one thing - they would hate bad publicity and think of all the potential business they could be loosing from this forum alone............

Why do I get the feeling that you may be in line for getting your money back ?

I for one think that you have been treated very shabbily. How would you find out if this type of business is regulated and who by? Maybe make an enquiry via an immigration solicitor ? Bound to be one in Yellow Pages.

Good luck for Friday and let us know how you go on.

Yep, Timbo did have a similar problem, but with a different co. beginning with "G" and ending in "lobel". He is still out of the loop so to speak for the next 3 or 4 weeks as he's in OZ at the moment before he returns to sunny Whitianga, NZ.
