Roughly how long should I expect between my container arriving at the port and it being delivered to my door - 1 week, 2 weeks?

I think the formalities can be done in about 3 days, but a lot depends on the human element and the work load at the docks/freight places.

Our personal effects took 2 weeks from arrival in Wellington to get to the house.

The MAF inspection was done a week after arrival as they were busy.

The vehicles took longer.

NZVL said they were busy in the xmas run up. They did use contractors though and we had everything shoved in the house and part unpacked in about 2 hours.
