I would appreciate any info from any nurses working in the hospital setting in Auckland, I have a job offer and will start when I arrive (hopefully end of Feb). I am a little unsure of what to expect, at the moment I am a Practice Nurse in the UK, so find the idea of going back to hospital exciting but daunting too!!!

Hi Tracey

Which area will you be working in? Do you have a job offer yet? It's been 9 years since I last nursed in NZ and I'm nervous about going back there. I know things have changed since I left. I have been working in NICU here in the UK and will be going back to NICU (Middlemore Hospital - South Auckland) when we finally manage to sell our house. So I'm here for support but I don't think I'll be able to offer much useful info - but feel free to PM or ask if you have any specific questions.

Thanks for that, I have got a job offer working in APU (admission, planning unit) at Auckland District Hospital!!
I'm sure it won't take long to get used to it!!
