Hi everyone,

this is probably a bit of a specific question but I'm hoping someone out there may be able to help.

Are PRINCE2, ITIL, and MSP certifications usefuls things to have when finding a job in NZ? Are they recognised by NZ employers?

I have contacted NZQA and got a very good reply, but the bottom line was - If you want a definitive answer then you need to submit for a full assessment. I've already paid for one so only want to do this again if it's really going to help.

I recently spoke to a major IT company in Auckland and they were specifically looking for someone with good ITIL knowledge, so I would expect certification would be a help, if not essential, for some roles.

Not sure if these certifications would count towards EOI point though.

Hi Andy,

Unsure, but hopefully my hubby Andy might get this answer for you during his trip (14-24Oct). He's an IT Project Mgr, also with PRINCE2 experience, so no doubt he will talking about this with the agencies/employers he's mtg.
