what about a nice ensuite double at a backpackers there. sequoia lodge was great when we stayed there. and there are another couple in that region that have a really good rep too.

We stayed at The Villa in a nice ensuite with our own balcony. There was one other ensuite next to us, otherwise all the dorms and other rooms were completely separate.

The Villa is right next door to a bakery and right around the corner from the main street with all the shops.

It is on of the most often recommended hostels on the backpackers' grapevine- which may influence your decision this time of year. ;)
