Wondered if anyone knows if my certificates count towards the points system under recognised basic qualifications.
I have a City and Guilds Association of British Travel Agents competence level 1 in air and general,and also competence level 2 in general,and hoped that some one might be able to shed some light on these ones,to if they will count on our points on the EOI.
The other thing is I am a personal travel advisor working from home,been in travel over 10 yrs and wondered generally how easy it is to find work in this field in New Zealand?
Any comments/answers would be greatly appreciated,as we are in the very early stages of looking into all this.

Hi there,

I friend of mine (recent newly made friend!) has just landed herself a job with the House of Travel (one of the bigger Travel agents here). She came into NZ on a Hairdressing qualification, but as she has worked in travel for the last 5-6 years or so wanted to go back into it. She managed to get a job without any quals in this area, just work experience and a friendly personality after only being here for two months! So I think anything is possible!
