I caught a glimpse of the DHL guy walking up the drive as I sat reading email in my PJs!

The VISAS are here! The VISAs are here! :raebanana :raebanana

I have yet to get confirmation about the appeal process from the DOC, so I have been reluctant to commit to a non-refundable airline ticket. Each day I watch the prices go up on flights. I'm a tad frustrated. Earlier this week, my new boss said the gal that would be able to tell me about whether anyone had appealed my appointment wouldn't be in until next week.

If they offered me the job 19th December, yet they can't confirm that I "officially" have the job until 16th January. Can they still hold me to arrive 30 January??

I will likely we all packed and ready, it's just the plane tickets are going to cost a bundle.

Any thoughts?

Hi CL

We had to book our tickets 6 days before we flew out. We gulped hard and accepted it as part of the cost of our emmigration. TBH I would have sold an internal organ to get here by then!

I would maybe get some prices and say to them it will cost me X$ more, can I delay coming by X days or weeks? They can say no but you will never know if you dont ask. ;)
Congratulations on the visa's BTW, isn't it a wonderful feeling. :cheers
