Can I offer some advice re postal redirection (specifically from UK) - you are better off getting your post redirected to a UK address (relative / friend) rather than redirected to your NZ address...
Why? Because you will receive junk mail to your UK addy and this will then be forwarded to you in NZ potentially costing a small fortune (goes by weight).
Have someone sieve through your post and forward it on to you.

Are you sure about the weight thing. :eek I got the impression that you just paid for a period of time. We were intending to get everything redirected for 12 months at a cost of £66:-

Tanya was hoping to carry on her job from NZ and her employer could make use of the postal redirection service to send stuff out cheaply.
You seem to be able to control junk mail to some extent too:-

We are hoping to exchange (at last!) today so hopefully will see you in November :hopeso
Hope you didn't break the fan heater in the apartment!

I went into our local POffice re redirection as I sent one package Airmail and it cost £20 so I queried the £66 for 12 months!
That is when I was advised that it was done on weight and £66 was just the redirection fee.
I'd be really interested to know the real facts as otherwise the possible bad advice I received may have cost us money as we are paying for postage that rellies use up to send our stuff over!!

The reason I thought it was a one off cost was a thread I started on the other forum and had some responses by people who had used it:

Hopefully, they know as they were getting their post over there. I too thought £66 would be cheaper thanrelying on it being redirected to a family member in the UK and then posted over.
Will try to get more info and let you know.
We have now exchanged and have flights booked. Hope to see you soon!!
