Hello everyone we should have been in NZ now but as you know the house buyer withdrew at the last minute. We have the house back on the market but no sign of a buyer yet. I,ve looked at the finances and we could go now but things would be tight for a while and i wanted to have nice memories of our arrival and settling in so were going to give it 2 or 3 months to see if we can sell the house . If theres no sign of a buyer then were coming out there anyway and we will make the best of it. Everything just seems to be standing still now after all the rush and excitement getting the permanent residence visas.my other half has got her job back so she is keeping busy and i,ve been looking for something temporary ,so if anybody from Doncaster area knows of any temp job vacancies i would be very interested. Cheers Paul Bev and Kids

Know what you mean with everything seems to be standing still after the rush and excitement. My husband left for NZ a week ago after two months of crazy times and now I'm 'stuck' here waiting for our house to be sold (also no buyer in sight).
Good luck with the house sale and hope you'll get a buyer that means business!

Ooooh how awful. Nothing can be said to make any difference to the way you must be feeling.
I hope things improve for you and you have some luck with a house sale. I'm sending a shed load of possi vibes and I've got some bits crossed for Kiwidebs and her house sale, so I'll just cross a bit more for you guys.
Chin up and there is light at the end of the tunnel. :yes
Keep us posted and if you need a rant, we are all here.

Hey Paul don't beat yourself up over it cos it just isn't worth it. We lost a buyer with 6 weeks to go and the stress i put myself through was ridiculous. It will happen believe me. I know its easy for us to give these words out as we are here and doing it, but it will happen, and probably when you least expect it. Just hang in there.

I was wondering how you were getting on after your awful news. You'll get some interest soon, I'm sure - just don't lose heart. I know what you mean about there coming a time when you decide to go anyway - if our sale falls through, I think we'd probably just go. I feel like we're past the point of no return, despite the financial difficulties that would pose.
Good luck - keeping everything crossed for you. What line of work are you in by the way? (not that I know of any temp jobs in Doncaster!).

Thanks everyone i,ll keep my fingers crossed for all you people who are nearly there. I am a production manager by trade but am also a skilled diamond tool maker I,ve had lots of interviews in NZ and been offered a few jobs so i,m not worried when i get there. But here i am so bored i would do anything just to get out and about till the house goes. My old company gave me 4 months wages to help me emigrate so i dont need the money yet!!! But they have replaced me now so i cant go back there. Shame really cos they used to send me all over europe visiting customers and suppliers , Sweden,Italy,Germany i could just do with some of that at moment. Hopefully my next flight will be to NZ and i wont be coming back!!! I have a friend in Nelson and she loves it she has just bought 6 acres and is having a house built on it. She has also splashed out on a holiday home in Marlborough, Alright for some i would settle for a park bench on Queen st at the moment. cheers Paul Bev And Kids
