I wear custom orthotics in my shoes and need to get a new pair. Last time my insurance covered them at 100%, this time they won't cover any of it. I really need them, so was thinking of shelling out the $450US ($650NZ) to get them before we arrive in NZ. It occured to me that they might actually be cheaper to buy in NZ as all health related things are really expensive in the US. Does anyone know how much custom orthotics cost in NZ?

Hi howie ,

I'll ask my mum - she actually has 2 pairs a year made for her FOC at Christchurch hospital (she has chronic rheumatoid arthritis ) , she's bound to know as untill last year she had to pay . I'll be chatting to her later tonight & will post more if she tells me more .
