No not a Carry on Film!

We had to call the doctor out to our 5 year old in the ealry hours of Friday morning - thankfully everyting is OK - but it made me wonder whether you can get this service in NZ?

I'd love to hear from those of you who may know

I know that my mother in law has had the doctor called out to her in the middle of the night. However, they live in a very small rural NZ town - maybe things are different in the city.

I would imagine (hope) that there is a 24 hour emergency service available to everybody.

Hi there,
speaking as a health professional in the UK I do think this would be the same in NZ however as health care and doctor visits are paid for I am unsure if there would be charges for this

I have tried many many times to get a doctor out to see my kids when they have been ill - never got one yet. Our surgery just dont seem to do it.

There are "after hours" surgeries where you can go and queue through the night...delightful experience with a kid who has a raging temp.

Sorry to sound so negative...........but that's how it is.
