The NZIS website says the 13th October Selection is still 100 points - any thoughts/insider information on if/when this might change?
Cheers

Goodmorning Jon,
No insider info as such but a couple of things I have heard,
The points will never go below 100 as this is the minimal amount anybody needs to be able to submit an EOI. The pool selection is likely to stay at 100 for a while longer as the NZIS are no where near reaching the agreed immigrant quota for 2004.
If this will continue into the new year is probably anybody's guess.
Take care
Babette :nice1

Hopefully NZIS will realise that there are loads of would-be Skilled migrants out there wanting to submit an EOI that don't have a university backed education. The country need people like that, people that have become skilled through experience and worked hard to acheive thier success.
Maybe they should give points for how far you have come since leaving school!
"I shovelled s*** for a living upon leaving school, and now i'm the CEO of the north west's leading s*** shovelling company!"
Thanks Mr Rimbo, that'll be worth 2000 points, welcome to NZ!

Totally agree with you (obviously my degree is worth its weight in gold and I should be accepted straight away with a s*** job and a great standard of education).
I think a lot of policies on immigration exclude people with a huge desire to improve themselves and therefore their new country and with skills that would be greatly beneficial the host nation.
but this is starting to look like a degree answer - so I'll stop now (before it gets to 3000 words).
Good luck to everyone!
Cheers

Hi all
I suspect NZIS will tinker with points allocation formula to try to get more people up to the 100 mark.
I know some agents were waiting for 100 before lodging client cases, but even with that catch up, the numbers are lower than last fortnight.
The offshore applciant numbers have fallen, so expect many people have lost interest in NZ, as have many agents stopped marketing it.
Status quo to prevail for at least the next 3 months, until employer pressure gives the Govt a polite retreat.
Regards Jamie
