I have heard of three other families from Whitstable, Kent who are off to NZ. None of you are on this forum by any chance are you?
Thought it would be helpfull (to me at least!) to swap experiences.

Cheers

Nanny

Hi Trudy

My apolgies I could have sworn I replied to you. But being a tidy freak I always delete my out box daily - again my apologies!

So what is your story to date?

Hi there, we have moved from Herne Bay to the Kapiti Coast and have been here all of 3 months.Best thing we ever done.It is fabulous here, people are amazing , weather has been wondeful. It was certainly worth the hassle and the expense, we only have to wander down to the beach to realise that! .lets just say that Herne Bay seafront couldn't possibly compete!
Any questions about the various procedures to get here or indeed about life here itself please do not hesitate to ask.
Best of luck
Denise

And to think it wasn't that long ago we were all sitting in the pub trying to persuade each other to go - apart from Wayne and Trudy of course who needed no persuasion at all!

Now that got you looking
Good to hear that Denise and Frances are both well.
Denise, we are just loving it here, it seems a long time ago that we were sweating over whether the house in UK would sell. (We actually knew it had sold 1/2 hour before we left for Heathrow airport).

We now have a fox terrier puppy and a kitten, who both chase each other around the house.

Wayne is starting a job in a weeks time with the top NZ airbrush Hot Rod car painter, what a dream job.

if you fancy a look.

I have started up my own mobile hairdressing business, work is coming in slowly, but i'm getting a few regulars. I also work in a private hospital in the laundry to keep the money coming in. Our 20 year old son has a job in the local supermarket. So we are all in work.

We often go swimming after work in the sea, warm clear water and sand. It is just great! Wayne hadn't been swimming in the sea off Whitstable since he was boy.

Once again, great to hear from you all
Regards Trudy

Hi Trudy and Frances
We are very settled here although Paul works away a bit more than we first thought. That is the only down side really.
We move into our new house a week Saturday and I started work at the kids school last Tuesday as a teachers aide working with special needs children which is wonderful and couldn't be more convienent either in terms of location (5 mins walk from our new house) hours, 9 till 1.30 so I still get a hour or so to myself in the middle of the day and the actual job which is very rewarding , the kids are great fun!
I have also made loads of friends, it is pretty hard not to really and have already been on 2 girlie nights out!
Glad to hear you are as happy as us Trudy, Waynes job sounds like every mans dream!
How are things with you Frances? Any further with the dream?
Denise
