Folks,
I went onto the UK Met website as I wanted to know how to get a police certificate. I used the below link.
http://www.met.police.uk/dataprotection/faq.htm#certs
I read here in the FAQ that the UK police doesn't issue a police certificate so now I'm totally confused.
How does one provide a police certificate for NZ immigration when the uk police doesn't issue any certificates?
Cheers

Ok have I understood this correctly then. There is no "OFFICIAL" police certificate available from UK police........
BUT the NZ immigration accepts responses from the UK police which are called:-
"Subject access request" for personal data held on me by the UK police? As I've lived mostly in Northern Ireland, I'd simply need to complete the form below. Correct?

I guess that's it? It's quite confusing as the London Met and the Police service of Northern Ireland seem to use different form numbers as well.....just to add to the confusion. :(

That looks like the one we filled out (Other than the NI bit of course!). The number was different, but it was £10 per person applying.

And if you've lived anywhere else for 1 year or more you'll need certs from those countries too....
.. and that's quite some feat.. being selected before even submitting your EOI ;)

LOL! Thanks Moorf alas excuse my typing skills. Updated my signature now so it should be correct. :)
Ayadon/Moorf,
Thanks for your swift replies. It looks like that 3109B form and the one on the Police Service of Northern Ireland website are the same thing....so I guess I'll use the NI one as that's where I lived.
Yeah about the other countries, I'm currently on the German and french embassy websites trying to find out the same thing. I might post those links in this thread later....just incase someone does a forum search in a few months time.
