Hello all

Was just wondering, I am a plumber and was just discussing with wife about applying for jobs and when to do it. We are still in early stages but I note that a lot of people seem to have job offers before they emigrate. In IT i can understand it might be possible to do an interview over the net, you could offer examples of work done and the like. However in a physical trade, is it possible to get a job from here, without being able to prove you are a serious potential employee?

I suppose it wont hurt though, you might get lucky :nice1

Hi chaps,

Dunno about plumbing as i am a sparkie but i remember seeing a post by someone re electrical jobs who said they had no joy with answering ads, or speculatively emailing cv's to companies (whilst still in uK) but he did get replies when he POSTED cv's, it would seem the old ways atill work eh? :laugh
