Everyone,
I have tried 5 times today to call NZQA and when the call is connected there is a message that asks you to hold the line to speak with a representative. I hold the line and am subjected to a persistent ring. I have waited about 30 minutes and to no avail. Any ideas how to get a hold of these people who are holding us hostage?

Ok, its a holiday today, thus no answer. Sorry to vent my frustration with the NZQA on the board. It just seems this group does not understand that they are a customer service entity and my previous contact left a bad taste in my mouth.

I emailed them when I was waiting to hear from them back in June and got a response very quickly. Have you tried that?

So glad I'm not the only one who feels that way (bad taste). My Oh told me I had probably blown it last week because I emailed a shirty letter to my case officer - I had emailed twice in the last 2 weeks asking if he wanted an original document and he just would not answer the darn question. David's attitude is "He has the power to make things go very slowly and even not get your stuff verified in time" (at which point I started to panic). However, your post has reminded me that I am paying for a service ! I have been in the process with NZQA since 22nd August 2005 and it is driving me crazy ! You are not alone,

Tracy what qualifications were you getting assessed? some people have had a tough time with them but it looks as if I got off lightly - although in the end the NZIS wouldnt accept them cause they were only L3! good job we had 110 points!

HI Kat, long time no see ! (my fault - dropped off the forum for a while due to illnesss and exhaustion) - I am waiting to have my degree and teaching qualification verified - although it could be both or either of those as NZQA won't tell - it's confidential who they are waiting to hear from !!! I've been virtually told off for trying to get involved in the verification process as it is meant to be impartial. I rang Manchester uni today and they don't seem to have heard from NZQA so far about me - it is supposed to be being requested again today (7th) but my big worry is that they just email off to any old dpt. Lady in Manch. said they don't even accept emails only fax / letter - rant, rant, I could go on. Anyway congrats on PR - at least you are on your way,
