Hi FD
Yes I'll be going.
I thought it was mostly to do with investment opportunities in the Bay of Plenty area?
Was that your take on it?

Would love to have been able to go, but unfortunately can't.
Perhaps you can let us know what it was like and any useful information.
Good luck

UK Friends,
We are in the US, where there are no seminars. Would one of you attending mind to ask 2 questions on our behalf? These are 2 very different and unrelated questions:
1. I do not see "Surgical Technician" any and NZ info. In the US the education/certification/liscencing is similiar to that of a Radiation Technologist.
A Surg Tech is responsible for having all proper and necessary tools available, in the required set-up for each surgery proceedure, provides tools/equipment to surgeon as needed, and maintains sterile theater in the surgery. They stay on call 24/7 for emergency proceedures...
Question: Would they qualify for and Skilled Migrant Catagory?
2. For an Investor Catagory Application Submitted to Wellington in April 2004, what is the time frame for consideration. It is now 5.5 months. No word yet. Are they caught up with their back log?
If someone is attending one or the other session, I would love to know what you learn.
Love reading all your UK posts! Thanks! Please feel free to pm if you choose.

guys, sorry Im in NZ right now.
The seminar was useful but will have to go into detail when I get home, only 7 days away.
Check out Priority One, the are a company that fill the skills gap in the Bay of Plenty area - no fees.
Malcolm Pacific were also there - immigration specialists - bit of a sales pitch from them about but it will cost you 2-5k to use them, though they guarantee success (cos they dont take on clients who wont make it)
I personally think If you do your homework, you dont need any agent doing stuff on your behalf. yes, paperwork and organisation is tricky but not worth 3k
Another company dealing with tax and stuff (dont remeber the name), If youre not a homeowner or dont run your own business (like us) then these guys probably cant help - we were certain lost with jargon and stuff in their presentation.
I said no details and just look what ive gone an done! Time to head back to my Ponsonby base. Laters

hi, my husband and myself went to the expo held in london at the weekend, came home in a blind panic as they said they would be able to get my husband work within 2 weeks. So far we are only looking into moving to nz. everyone was very helpful and we got some good info. We are hoping to visit in the new year then we may be able to get a better idea of where we would like to go but its early days yet. We are still uncertain about whether we will be able to manage on the wages. Agencies have told him he could earn up to 70k we are a family of 5. Any info would be gratefully received.

Hi Jeannie the Jam Maker, Tiptree Jam I love it, one more thing for me to miss in NZ. I used to live just a bit further out past Colchester than you, towards the coast.

Hi Lil, Love Tiptree but need a change, are you already in nz are about to go. We are seriously liooking into it at the moment but wages just makes us a bit nervy. We are hoping to visit early next year with the kids they are still young so its either now or never Harriet my daughter is now 15 and in a few years time she may not want to come with us. Trying not to be too tempted by the price of homes without looking into it a little more so far everything seems very appealing. Any info would be greatfully received. Jeanie :yes :angel
