For those who have had the EOI selected without a job offer, what are you being offered by NZIS...an invitation for residency or a work permit?

I do have enough points to lodge an EOI without a job offer but can't afford to be offered only a work permit. My teenagers will be starting University soon and having them apply as foreign students is something that I can not afford. The fees for foreign students are crazy.

I am interested in finding out what most people are being offered who do not have job offers but their EOI has been selected.

Hi Laurie,

Recenlty, NZIS sent me an email saying that Decision was Successfull and an Invitation to Apply packet was posted. I donot have JOB offer in NZ. My EOI had 115 points.

I donot know after completing and submitting the Invitation forms, what type of visa they will grant.

Hi,

my Consultant told me, without job offer it will only be a work permit for 2 years,
once you have a job offer, you can apply for PR.
But I could not find anything on the NZIS site.
