Can some one please give me some urgent help with this time problem, sorry but my poor head is spinning and I would like to confirm that Im getting it right.

OH is currently in USA for work -6hr from us in UK
I THINK Auckland is currently 13hr ahead of UK due to daylight saving, (is this right?).

OH has been asked to do a phone interview at 1600hr Thursday Auckland so I think that works out at 9pm tonight USA. :uhoh

Im not normally this dence but Im so excited that he has an interview I just want to double check. I would be fine if I could get the daylight saving confirmed.

Thanks Debbie

Hi Debbie :)

Auckland is 13hrs in front of UK at the moment & we reckon you are quite correct in your working of 9pm tonight. :yes

It gets a bit confusing, doesn't it?

Good luck with the interview & let us know how it all goes.

C :nice1

I use http://www.worldtimezone.com/ to get time zones right - it gives you the current time wherever in the world.

It also has details of daylight saving - where in the world uses it and when they change etc - very important when you realise that NZ does it at different times from most places and shifts in the opposite direction to the northern hemisphere. Can get very confusing at times and this site helps a lot.

ALSO it has a 'Sun Map' which shows where it is currently dark and where light - great fun.

I often have to schedule audio meetings with people in Oklahoma and Calif, and this site is a great help.

Thanks clarkydicko and george,
I'll bookmark that link for furture panics.
OH would have prefered to do the interview from home having some time (in his own time zone) to prepare but we will wait and see what happens.
Thanks again
Debbie

USA has lots of time zones! Hawaii is only 1 hour ahead (and a day behind) NZ time.

Hi Debbie,

A great web site for planning calls/meetings in different time zones is timeanddate.com.

Here's the link for future reference: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html

Good luck!
