Hey guys - just thought I'd share with you - We (me, hubby and our boys) got our letters yesterday to grant our citizenship.
Last step in the process is the ceremony - we have a year to do that - but we are hoping to attend one sooner rather than later.
It's the one where we have to swear allegience to HM THe Queen.

It took us a while - will have been here 10 years in June - but we got there in the end!

I am wondering, however, why it took 10 years to get the citzinship? I have heard that one should saty 5 years after PR to get it? ( it was 3 yrs before)

Congratulations Carol and Family. You going to do the two passport thing? Between the four of us we have 7 passports (the kids and I all have UK and Kiwi passports). Let me know what the citizenship ceremony is like? I had to do a UK one here!
