 Hi, we are at the early stages of planning to emmigrate to New Zealand. The basic we can get is 105 points without a job offer and skills assessments etc . But if my husband can get a job we should have well over the 140 points which I am lead to believe you should get selected quite quickly.

First of all I am lead to believe by some friends that it should be reasonably simple to get a job as he is a road enginner and has worked for our local council for the last 15 years surveying roads managing projects etc. Does anyone know if this is true?

Secondly we don't know whether to visit before we decide to go confused: or just go. This way we would save the money that we would spend on a holiday there as we have anticipated it to cost about £5,500. (campervan, flights and spending money etc). Which would probably buy us a car when we first get there.

Finally what is Hamilton like for jobs and living we have 2 children age 9 and 4.
