Hi. If you will be in Wellington between 21 September and 1 October, you can go to the World of Wearable Art show (http://www.worldofwearableart.com/). Tickets went on sale 1 Feb. and some types of seating are selling out, so I thought I'd mention it while you can still purchase. It involves planning pretty far ahead, but we saw the video about the show at the Auckland airport, and it looked terrific.

Just wanted to add that we saw World of Wearable Art last night and had a terrific time. Great two hour show of costumes, dance, lights and music. The crowd favorite was by a Christchurch couple who were inspired by the Wellington wind...

I have tickets to this next weekend. Glad to hear you enjoyed it - I don't know of anyone else who's been, but I have seen snippets on the tv.

If you couldn't make it to the show, do try to visit the World of Wearable Art Museum (http://www.wowcars.co.nz) in Nelson if you are ever there. I'm really not into fashion trends and did not expect to enjoy it much, but I loved it -- it's not at all what I was expecting.
