Hi everyone, well my family and I landed back in UK 3 weeks ago now and all I can say is it is good to be home. :exit

I think after all of the frustrations of NZ (personal feelings) it is good to be back on home soil. :nice1

We went to Tesco the second day back and the choices.....wow. It really is a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I want to say a big thank you :clap to everyone on this forum who has helped us on our way and gave us their regards for our return home. As stated in previous posts the decision to leave NZ after having ITA did not come easy and it has cost us "heaps" (my wife still says that).

We are now trying to get back onto the housing market in the UK but we are finding it really hard  but if we managed on the other side of the work we can manage it here.

So good look for all of those seeking that new life and whatever decision it will always be for the right reasons. If you don't try you will never know. We tried, and now we know, and would not change a single thing.

Welcome home Dave and Family.

Good on ya for making what must have been some very difficult decisions.

Now, you're back, I'll have to look into purchasing some Tesco shares. Do you think they'll be on the rise ??

Keep in touch.

Welcome back Dave and clan, we did the same as you guys and have managed to get back on to the housing market and move into our new spot next week. And dare I say it, we have made a bit of a killing on the house as it has lots of potential (loads of work to do on it!). So what I'm saying mate is if we can do it so can you.............Keep us up dated on how your getting on. Cheers ..........David

PS. We are planning a holiday in NZ next year  !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck back here in the Uk.

It takes guts to admit on a forum like this where 90% of the stuff is positive and all for NZ to admit you didn't like it and it wasn't for your family. But you tried, nobody can fault you for that.

We've got a nice house for sale in West Yorkshire if you're interested!! :nice1

Good on you !!!!! I admire you. I'm very much in 'limbo' regarding NZ. I love it here - but I love the UK just as much (if not just that little bit more).

All the best for your new life back home.

Great to hear that things are going well!

We are heading back on Saturday, 10 days in oz first. We are all really excited, feels just like how we felt when we came here to nz. No regrets!
