Hi guys after some info .

We like to make wine - usually in kit form costs about £30 & makes 25 l for a decent cab sauv grape .

How readily availiable is wine making stuff in NZ ? can you buy a kit like we do here ? Is it worth taking my fermenting barrells etc ?

:cheers

edited to say i found a website for a home brew shop in christchurch www.yourshout.co.nz

definately worth a go in my opinion - especially good if you're having a big bash & making loads of punch - a cheep white kit thats quick will set you up fine .

I haven't done any home wine- or beer-making for years, but I have seen a couple of places around that cater to that market.

And believe it or not home distilling is perfectly legal in NZ, I understand!

You can buy homebrew stuff in the supermarket. New World stock it in Rangiora and the local Supervalue in Oxford sells beer making stuff. I get the feeling making your own is pretty common around here.
