Hi all,

My name is Vincent and I am from Singapore. As I read all the interesting thread daily, I was wondering why people want to migrate. Of course, there are 101 reasons for doing so. Most like in developing countries do so for a better life in a developed country. Others may do so to lead a peaceful life and some others may do so to avoid the inlaws (which I saw in one thread). Ha ha ha.

My reason for doing so is perhaps for the education of my son (4.5 years old). The education system here in Singapore is about ability to take pressures and what the kids here does is study, study and more study. That is why more Singaporeans are now migrating to countries like Australia, NZ, Canada and Britain.

However, I am puzzled to look at the sheer number of Britons wanting to migrate to NZ. Is it because of the weather in Britain or is it because of the system there that is not favourable? I believe the system in NZ and Greta Britain should be quite similiar.

Maybe you can enlighten me on this. Your views is greatly appreciated and maybe I can disuade my friend who intend to migrate to Britain.

Thanks in advance.

Vincent
