Hi all
Have been reading through some of the threads and have noticed that lots of you have had an interview, just wondering at what stage you had this (either over the phone or in person?) Reason is we got our ITA in early January and have got the standard 4 months to provide all our evidence, and have had some communication via email (when I have requested some clarification on stuff) but have had no interview???
Our case officer is Amelia Foley, she has been quick to respond with emails, has anybody else had any experience with her?
Its a gloomy gloomy day in damp derby wish I was in NZ now!! ;)

Hi Jane
Our case officer is also Amelia and I agree that so far any emails I have sent to her requesting clarification she has been extremely helpful and very quick at answering.
I would be interested in anyone else's experience with her too please.

Hi Jane,
I never had any dealings with your case officer, so cannot offer you any information on her, sorry.
The other question you asked about the interview..............It takes place after you have submitted your ITA and is an informal, telephone call ( UK ). General questions related to research you've done, where you plan to live and how you will support youself once there. After that, NZIS are normally quite quick to notify you on their decision. :nice1
Good luck and hope this helps

Thanks John, at least I know that we shouldnt have been interviewed yet!! We are quite optimistic about the call as we spent 1 year there previously and returned for another 1 month to reconfirm that we definately want to move out there, so fingers crossed our answers will be ok!!

Jane,
How did you find out who your case officer was? We got our ITA, but it didn't say anything about our case officer.
I think usually if you aren't pressed for time (such as having a job offer) it can often take 3 months from the time you submit your ITA until you are called for the interview.

When I received my ITA there was a covering letter explaining who my case officer was and what I needed to do next/provide with the form. If you haven't seen one of those I guess there might have been a little slip up with the paperwork... I would call NZIS and ask them who your case officer is because you should have had one assigned by now.
By the way, my interview was incredibly straightforward... they just need to go through the information in all of your submissions to see if there is anything missing or requiring clarification. Very straightforward and nothing to be afraid of. It took me less than an hour and the only delay was because the doc hadn't filled in the med certificate correctly.

Our case officer wasn't assigned to us until well after we had returned our ITA. The letter we got just said we were in a queue and one would be assigned in due course.
We were and one was!

Like Smiler, we did not have a case officer assigned to us until after we mailed in the ITA. (We didn't have a job offer. Once we got the ITA in, things went very quickly for us, but I know that's not true for everyone.)

HI Tigerlilly
We were informed prior to our ITA that Amelia was our officer as they had questions regarding our points allocation, and then on our ITA the letter was from her as well, I think this was because my partner has a job offer maybe?
Thanks for all your replies !
Have a good day

we were in contact with one case officer when we had submitted our EOI, and she was very helpful (we met her at the Manchester Expo) but we got a different CO when we sent in the ITA, she said if we had a job offer then she'd be dealing with it, but because we didnt then it went in a pool and was assigned to the next available CO.
cant remember her name at the minute...and the pwk is upstairs (rob still in land of nod)
good Luck all

We've just had an email from Amelia Foley.
Wonder if she is the one of the people who mainly deal with applicants with job offers?!
She wanted a copy of Kev's job offer from the council, probably to verify it so they don't waste time if its not a valid offer later on.
Sent the copy by email last night and she responded today, saying thanks will be in touch if she needs anything else.
Can't complain with the speed of it all, only selected last Weds and 3 working days later they are in touch with us!!
