Hi Everyone !
First time on this forum so take it easy on me ;)
Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this thread but hear goes.....
Me and the wife are moving from south wales to Dunedin during this April. :raebanana
New Job - sorted :)
All the visas are finally sorted, just completing on the house sale and selling all the other bits (car etc) but not the Bike! Taking that with me!
Been aranging everything that needs doing recently - can't beleive how much time it all takes. :roll Bit of an emotional roller coaser ride this past few months - sure some of you can identify with that.
So - just a quick note to introduce ourselves and say hi to everyone. Hope to chat to you all some more soon. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions.
We leave the UK on 4th April so busy busy!
Be nice to hear from any Dunedinites out there!
Until later

hey all the best,
yes emotional roller coaster and a word of warning it will stilly carrying on rolling at full spedd for a few months after your arrival (especially with us women!!!).But as long as you an accept that that will happen then you can see it through. I have been through a really bad 2 weeks but I feel I am coming out the otherside. I know not totally as that will take not weeks, nor months but years before I can say I am totally settled.
My daughter had her swimming gala today (never ever had one in the UK). She came 1st in breaststoke for her age group and took off 10 seconds from the older boys times. How proud was I!!!

Hey - good move, coming to Dunedin. And at least you'll get to see some decent rugby before too long!
Where's your job based?
Keep an eye on www.odt.co.nz if you're looking out for properties to rent.
Be sure to look us up when you arrive, just drop us a pm.
Cheers....

Hi Draig,
Welcome and nearly farewell!! Shame you didn't join before, or you could have come to our Wales meetings! As Aydon said, there's him and Mrs A, Willsken, me (Gil) and Cardiff Irons (my Other Half), Stephen Jones in Ponty, Ade....still, never mind and all the very best for your big move to Dunners.

Hi and thanks everyone for your good wishes! :)
We made our final decision to come following a visit to expo New Zealand in London last October. We had been to NZ twice before on holiday so were a little familliar.
I had been made redundant last year so that made the desicion a little easier.
I had an interview in London with a Kiwi company and was offered a job after a few months.
So After making the desicion we steamed ahead a lodged our EOI in early december. ITA received 22 Dec. We took our application up and lodged by hand mid Jan and received our visas back 24 jan ! Seems easy when you read it like that but it was a manic period! Presumably the job offer helped in processing them promptly.
House sale fell through once in early Jan - that was a stressful time!
Back on track to complete before we leave hopefully!
I will be working in Mosgiel (product design/engineering) so we will look to rent somewhere easily comutable to there initially. Staying in a motel in Mosgiel for the first few weeks.
Thanks once again for your kind wishes and will talk again soon.
For those guys back here at home - good luck with your efforts.
Wynn & Liz.
