Well we've at long last got to the application stage !!!

Its taken us 4 months to get everything we need together - mostly due to my family being very laid back kiwi's ( errr thats lax to you & me LOL )

DH got the medicals this week & we appear to be disgustingly healthy , so i've spent the last night penciling the application in , doing a covering letter (mostly plagerized from Dawn - sorry Dawn !!) & collating all the "evidence "

At least NZIS take visa - we are still a bit poor from our medicals :uhoh

Its funny - I was very overwhelmed at the thought of getting this far /medicals etc seemed so much to do ...... but now its done it seems ok . Now i'm starting to worry about selling the house & shipping etc - one set of problems seem to replace another .

The estate agents are here to value on Saturday - please please give us a good price & please please let the NZD weaken further ;)

Every now & then I get all excited - it kind of just bubbles up ! DH nearly made me cry whilst we were watching the opening of the commonwealth games - he cheered when the kiwi's came out & said "come on fellow countrymen " .

Vic

Good luck with the posting off etc, you've got this far so just hang on in there.

One day you'll find you wake up, free from shippers, house sales and form filling and you'll just head to the beach instead of pouring over lists of problems.

May that day come soon for you. Good luck

Yes, good luck from us too. As somone who arrived about 10 days ago, I can ditto what Deborah said. But please, I don't want the NZ$ to weaken further cos we changed our money this evening - very nerve wracking, but I feel like it's all real.

Good luck - house sales can be a nightmare, but at least you're coming into a good time of year in the UK. The shipping will probably be a nightmare too, but you get through it!

Hi Vic and Paul.

Aren't ITA's a nightmare !! LOL

Steve my OH is a lot more careful with paper work than I am, so I do all the form filling/research/paper chasing etc and then he (bless) does the most important part and checks it all....how would I manage without him ??!

We took our ITA down to London in person a few weeks ago and since submitting it, I too have started to worry about other issues - house/shipping (shall we take anything or not bother?) etc.,etc.

Will it ever end????

Anyway, I'm rambling - sorry.

All I really wanted to say was that I know how you feel and I sympathise.

Good luck with the estate agents on Saturday.

Whats new! :laugh

Have to agree with Julie, now I look back it was all so easy and the hard stuff (selling house, packing up and renting etc) is still to come. Just another step on a very long road. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. :raebanana

HI Vic & Paul

Good luck!! I have just posted our ITA today, and GOD i am now worried that they will reject us for ridiculous reasons... talk about having to find something to stress about!!!

Fingers crossed that you get a smooth result with a happy ending!
:cheers
