We shipped from the US, and yesterday they brought the 40 ft container to our home. When they were done they asked if we had the padlock to lock it up. I hadn't though about it, and of course we had gotten rid of most everything we didn't pack. But the driver was nice enough to wait for my OH to run to the hardware store. That way it was locked, and we had the key.

I hope we get to do that. Makes for great peace of mind I'd say. Hate the thought of anyone being able to rummage through my bits and bobs! :roll

Hi Smiler, we used Trans Global Moving. They ship via Global Ocean Freight, and GOF hired a local moving company and an area truck driver to get the container to the port at Norfolk. So even tho I have so far been quite pleased with Trans Global, this had more to do with a driver in our area who was hired.
Yes, Willsken I know what you mean! And it still seems surreal that all of our things are sitting at a port waiting to go on a ship. Oh well, it's out of our hands now.
