Hello Folks

I am wondering if there is any kind of flea market in NZ (similar to flohmarkt in Germany). In Germany we have a weekly (on Sunday) very large flea markt in which can one buy fresh fruits and Vegetables in addition to second-hand goods. I like them. There is also another one only for children in which can one buy a lot of kids' stuff at very low prices.

Here in Cambridge we have loads of markets. There is a Trash and Treasure market once a month, which has home baking, jams and chutneys, plants, 2nd hand books, bric a brac, crafts etc etc. (I think there is a similar market once a month at Matamata, too.) At Tamahere (between Cambridge and Hamilton, on SH1) there is another country market once a month; that one has more specialty foods and crafts. Hamilton has a farmers market twice a month. Also in Cambridge twice a year is a big market at St Andrews church; crafts, food, plants etc.

I'm lovin it!!

Hi bpk,

If you are in Christchurch, there is a huge market at Riccarton race course every Sunday.Pretty much sells anything.

The Arts centre on Saturday is worth a look too, many local artists selling whole range of stuff(some very good)

I would presume most other cities in NZ have similar.
